How to Succeed in Obtaining the Sword of Scrolls

Ok, here's how you go about retrieving the Sword of Scrolls without messing up. I will try to be as detailed as needed so you may succeed in obtaining the sword without permanently ruining your chances of doing so. I will highlight in red anything that requires very careful consideration.

First things first: ALWAYS save before trying each step of the instructions here, just in case you accidentally mess up while trying to follow my instructions. Second, carefully read each step completely before you try to apply it.

• Step 1:
  There is a house to the south of the Gargaryan Lands where a guy from Metrolia resides. You need to be able to get to that house and talk to the Metrolian guy inside for the first time.
  
  
  
  • When talking to the guy for the first time, be very careful if you have already won more than 10,000 battles in the game. If you have already won more than 10,000 battles, do NOT select "Yes of course !" when talking to him the first time. Otherwise, the guy flees, and you lose your chance to obtain the sword. Select "Whoa you're great !" instead.
    
  • If you have no idea how many battles you've won, you can check the stats book in your gathering house in Rillia, or use the Orb of Knowledge, or some other means. There are multiple ways to find out how many battles you've won thus far.
    
  
  If you have followed the first step properly, then congratulations. You have talked to the Metrolian guy for the first time without messing up. Don't talk to the guy again if the number of battles you've won is anywhere from 9,900 to 10,000. In fact, don't talk to him again until you reach Step 4.
  
  
• Step 2:
  Make sure you have won more than 10,000 battles in the game. If not, keep fighting battles and winning.
  
  
  
  • This is such a major pain in the ass, but two relatively quick ways to reach 10,000 is by fighting the spiders in the bush at Fairy Town and the Zapoo-noos inside the cave at the Lone Islands. There are 3226 spider battles in the Fairy Town bush, and 6000 Zapoo battles inside the Lone Islands cave.
    
  
  Once you have done that, congratulations. This was probably the hardest part.
  
  
• Step 3:
  Before going back to see the Metrolian guy again, make sure that you have already freed Wendala, and that she is not with Charly the slime. Without Wendala, you will not be able to pull out the Sword of Scrolls properly when you get to it.
  
  
• Step 4:
  Time to go see the Metrolian guy again. But before that: Make sure Wendala is with you. Also, make sure at least one of your party members can use Egress and has enough MP to use it later on. Now talk to the Metrolian guy and select "Yes of course !" now that you have beaten more than 10000 battles. If done right, the man will move aside for you. When this happens, do not leave the house back through the main entrance until you have obtained the sword.
  
  
• Step 5:
  Open the metal door behind the Metrolian guy, and go up the stairs until you reach the third floor with the teleporter. Interact with it to teleport to the strip of land where the Sword of Scrolls is. Interact with the sword, and select Wendala when the options come up. Do NOT select Sarah or Luciana, or the sword will just break for good. Do NOT Egress until you have obtained the sword.
  
  
• Final Step:
  Egress and save.
  

Congratulations. You now have possession of the Sword of Scrolls. Have fun with it.

Guess I'll stick to Step 1 and ONLY talk to him after having the 10000,after all for some reason,I already talked to him the RIGHT way and the quest doesn't appear in the Questbook...This never happened in games without addons...A bug in the addons,maybe?

I don't think it's ever mentioned in the Questbook. Not all quests are mentioned in there anyway.

I have been trying to log all these things in my excel files, I'm pretty good at correlating information, but this is confusing as hell.
I'm starting to think that damianzzeking's intent was this all along.

Maybe I am mixing things then.I don't remember.I'll still stick with Step 1 only.Whats more funny(and confuse)than the 10000 Quest is Dobuhl-Ag Quest...The Orb says:you didn't murdered him yet.I don't know about him,so check.Don't make sense.Also this quest is the last(or one of the)to be said by the Orb.I didn't passed yet.There was supposed to be MORE hidden in this one,I'm sure...I don't know if an alternative way was implemented though....

The dev of LP(with all due respect)likes to troll and I am pretty sure that the mess(w/codes,databases,etc) is FULLY intentional,stopping hackers,cheaters and crackers to exploit certain factors of the game.Non-edited games can be easily opened and messed with with RPG Maker itself,so I guess he WAS already expecting this all along.Also thanks to a few mysteries,like the Goldeen,nobody EVER did everything in the trilogy,so 1 more point to DMZ.He make us come back to his games.Always.....

The "optimal" way to complete the Dobuhl-Ag quest is to kill him and then go back to the rogue merchant who asked you to go kill him and spare his life (with or without leaving with the fake gold).

Basically, the best route is to make sure you go talk to the Metrolian guy exactly once before you reach 10,000 battle victories. Then win more than 10,000 battles in the game. Then grab Wendala and take her with you back to the Metrolian guy. And have her be the one to pull the sword out. Take more note of the stuff I posted in red.
