Baretta's Sales Updates Explained

It is possible some of you may be a little confused about how/when Baretta updates her sales exactly. So I will explain to you how this all works exactly.

Baretta updates her sales a few times, as follows:

1. Original sale: Vaporeon Shield
   
2. First update: Evil Ring
   
3. Second update: Benederix, Bread
   
4. Third update: Tyrine Shield, Tyrine Helmet
   
5. Fourth update: Lord Benedict' Glass (one only)
   
6. Fifth update: Yveen's Tear, Yveen's Nectar, Yveen's Kiss (only five of each)
   
7. Sixth update: CockatriX Pendant, Empyrion (only one of each)
   
8. Final update: No sales, but a present is promised to Random at a later time (not to be received until Laxius Power 3)  
   

Now I will present to you a list of all the events that trigger an update to Baretta's sales. These events don't need to occur in any specific order, but when any one of them occurs, an update to Baretta's sales occur.

• Talking to Randhal the first time (it doesn't matter whether or not you buy anything from him).
  
• Winning the battle against Gorgona and the G-Hogs.
  
• When Random and Sarah are done making love for the first time (you won't be able to get back to Baretta until after some further events unfold, though).
  
• Winning the battle against Teszrandus.
  
• Saving Sarah.
  
• Saving the imprisoned Guardians.
  
• Entering Baretta's shop with at least 4000 battles won.
  

So what this means is that, if you want to obtain all unique/rare items possible from Baretta, these are the two tips to consider:

1. Buy at least one Vaporeon Shield from Baretta before triggering any of the updater events listed above. You definitely don't want to win at least 4000 battles before having a chance to buy such a shield.
   
2. Once you trigger one of the updater events listed above, and once you are able to return to Baretta, do NOT trigger any of the remaining updater events until you buy the current items from Baretta.
   

And that is all.

i know about battles too.last time i played i bought empyrion before saving guardians.ofcourse i had i save file before saving them. first i saved them i went to barreta but she was planning holidays.then i restart before savibg i went to barreta and i bought empyrion.i don't remember how many battles i had
... and i just check my save files i had 4023 battles before saving the guardians

For me it was different when it came to the Vaporeon Shield...every time I met Baretta with 4000+battles her first sold item was the Evil Ring,when with 4000-battles it was the Vaporeon...also in the 4000+ scenario she NEVER sold the Vaporeon...I wonder why though...

Like I said in the OP, entering Baretta's shop with at least 4000 won battles automatically updates the sales. This is also why I said not to win that many battles until you at least buy the Vaporeon Shield from Baretta.

At least it was a right factor in the end,not an oversight of mine.Also this doesn't affect LP3 at all.I already imported games where I didn't bought the Vaporeon and Baretta gave me her gifts and joined by half-price either way.Anyway thanks!
