| Similar to the Laxius Power I thread, I will continually update this post to include additional tips and notes, so be sure to check this post on a regular basis.
1. Trade room: There is a hidden path there, leading to a secret room with several treasure chests. The path is through a wall to the right. Maneuver your way through the path towards a hidden entrance into the secret room. In addition, when in the secret room, there is a locked door the south. This door leads you to a part of the trade room that was previously inaccessible. Keep interacting with the door until it opens. One of the barrels on the other side of the door will contain extra GP.
2. Camp (Indinera): One of the barrels has a Tonic Tea, in case you want one. Also, when looking for Sarah in the area with random battles, there are two fixed but missable battles before the boss battle.
3. Random's place: Search around the kitchen until you find 900 GP.
4. Killing the Ancient Golem the hard way (by fighting him to death) will not permanently kill him. However, he does drop the Astrobalt if you defeat him this way. Use the Rivers of Doom scroll (if you have it) for a good chance to beat him in battle.
5. Before Sarah's promotion: In the village/town where Sarah is staying, go to the area where the tavern is, and see if you can spot the four children in hiding.
6. In case you're interested, there is a way for Sarah to "intelligently" open the metal door in the area of the caves with all the switches. Have her activate the very bottom switch along with the pair of horizontally opposite switches closest to the former switch. Leave all the other switches deactivated. Then interact with the door.
7. Defeating Nash after Sarah's promotion is possible and will yield you 26 XP. However, Nash will not join you temporarily if you manage to do so.
8. Fanta: It doesn't look like this is mentioned in the walkthrough, but search one of the egg-shaped stones next to the old man for some GP.
9. While Leanda is with Coryool at the gym, make sure you interact with the rude Dagger Girl multiple times until Leanda beats the crap out of her. This not only is hilarious to see, but it does seem to contribute to Coryool's success rate at the end.
10. If you want Coryool to gain the supposed maximum bonus of 4 Attack points (after he is promoted) in the intended way, you need to hit the "moving punching bag" so many times that you end up scoring at least 2000 points. Yes, 2000, not 1600. This is because the last bonus Attack point requires you to score 800 points for it, not 400. However, whenever you exit the gym, your punching points are reset (most likely not intentional). This means that, theoretically, you could keep trying to gain as many Attack points as you want for Coryool. But who would want to go for more than four bonus Attack points anyway?
11. There is a hidden Royal Pirahna outside behind the tavern at SankT Leona.
More tips and notes later.

| 10 tips/notes at this point. I'll probably do the LP3 thread soon actually.
By the way, if anyone is still reading and would like to know the answer to some question they've always had about some content in this game or in the other two games of this series, just ask me and I'll see if I can find for you the answer by checking the event codes.

| Also one of the promotion paths gives game over screen if he beats you. Any way to make him join anyway? | |

I know that's what the walkthrough states, but have you confirmed that this is the case? If so, why don't you download the copy from here and see if the issue goes away.

| I honestly played the first two games through a couple of times and it was so. Not sure I played a copy from here. Might try in a couple of days. | |

Ok, let me see why this happens. Will get back to you here soon.

I see now. Even though Sarah's death condition actually gets cancelled in both cases, what happens is that the Rm2k engine automatically triggers a game over screen if the first command in the DEFEAT case does not revive any of your current party members. You see, there are actually two Sarahs in the database, one for Arts, the other for Acrobatics. The problem with the Acrobatics one is that the first command in the DEFEAT case revives the Arts Sarah (who is not in your party), so the game over screen is triggered without ever moving on to the next command in the case. Well, anyway, thanks for alerting me to this. Perhaps sometime soon I should release a patch that fixes this and other major bugs in this game, and maybe patches for the other two games as well.

There's an idea. Especially good for the third game. I recall being frozen in place after getting hit by flying daggers in the Crypt of 7000 Corpses once. Fun memories. Allegedly there are even more shenanigans with traps later in the game. What would happen if you somehow win or lose against Nash in fight before promotion? Anything in Church(?) of Sariis in the underground room or any way to enter the room? Long Cape Island Map is for the third game right? I can't remember. Also is importing something that you can check? Just wondering in case I get any questions.

Also is importing something that you can check? Just wondering in case I get any questions. 1. First question is a good one because I didn't even think to look into that! Before promotion: If you lose, it's game over. But if you were ever able to win, Nash actually dies according to the code. Now I'm scratching my head about this one. Does this mean it's possible to beat him so quickly? 2. Last I checked, nothing special was found there that was not already mentioned in the walkthrough. 3. Yep, the Long Cape Island Map is for the third game. Still useless, if you ask me. 4. Yep, I can do that. But depending on what you want to know, might take a bit of time for me to figure it out.

If you are somehow able to beat Thomas while inhibited, the event will simply skip over the second fight (and the whole dialogue that occurs between the two fights). Everything else in the event, after the second fight, is the same.

After promotion, that chest is automatically empty even if you didn't touch it at all before promotion. By the way, a question of philosophy for you to ponder (you can answer here only if you want to): Is something really valuable if it does not last for long?

| I believe that depends of the subject that is being citated.Life, per example,is short(VERY short for some, sadly)but in a world full of mysteries to be discovered, stories to be made being ALIVE to enjoy is our most valuable asset.Same as mother's love...unless you mum is immortal:D.So,sorry if it is a "neutral" or simply "not valid",but the value of something cannot be judged by how long it lasts, after all nothing is made to last for eternity. Thanks for the reply!;D | |
