Maps+Walkthrough in Excel

Greetings All,
I use Excel to do all of my mapping, mostly because I like being able to link forwards and back from map to map, and because it's easy to put in comments to keep me from getting confused.
A while back I had the idea of incorporating a walkthrough into the maps. Since most of the work was already done, basically all I had to do was a bunch of copying and pasting from the walkthrough into the Excel file and then pretty it up a bit (which is done in wide swaths and takes very little time). In fact other then the mapping itself, what took the most time was the proof reading (and I'll betcha I missed a lot). I hope the results are useful to others.
I have no idea if this will work with other spreadsheet programs as Excel is the only one I've ever been forced to learn, but because of the large amount of formatting I'm doubtful. Maybe other members with more experience can help out here?

Don’t bother trying to open either file on-line as they are way too big for the on-line version of Excel.
The folder has a marked and unmarked version of the Excel files, also there is the walkthrough that I used and a font folder, Monotype Corsiva (True Type) came on my machine but I'm not sure it’s standard on all versions, Ruritania I found on-line, it’s only used for the title on the "Start" page so probably not necessary but it looks good. Any standard font should work for the rest of it.
LP 1_marked.xls has the location of all items and area’s of interest, even a couple I found that weren't in the walkthough, on the map in alphanumeric fashion with corresponding information in a side panel. I recommend that the first thing you do is click the link “About” on the “Start” page (sheet) where I try to explain how it’s laid out.
The unmarked version, LP 1_unmarked.xls, is exactly the same but with only names and links. There are no markings on the maps (except those maps I swiped from others) and no information in the side panel.

Please give me as much feedback as possible. I’ll most likely post a similar version for LPII as it’s much smaller and, as I say, it’s pretty easy. However LPIII is huge and it would be pretty hard to stay motivated if the first 2 attempts don’t go over well, also I've never seen anything like what I'm trying here and I'm curious as hell, so please, feedback, good or bad!

Nice work, man. Looks pretty good to me from what I have seen. I don't have any detailed feedback to give at this point, but if you have questions regarding the maps for Laxius Power 3, just let me know. I haven't been as active much in here, but I try to visit still every now and then.

I didn't really expect any detailed feedback this early, the file is way too big for that, but I do appreciate your guy’s opinion.
Once every one has had a chance to have a good look at it I hope to get more feed back. I'm also hoping someone with a little more knowledge can give us some information on whether or not it can be converted to work with other spreadsheets as MS Office doesn't come with the newer operating systems. It would be nice to make it more usable for new comers.
The reason you can’t open them on-line is the size of the files, the on-line Excel can only handle files of 5Meg or less, both of these are well over 20Meg.
I'm working on the final stages of LP II right now, it shouldn't be too long before I post it.
As for LP III I have most of it mapped, the problem is that I don’t have a complete walkthrough and I suck at that sort of thing. I have one by Grogor and one by Moxy, but neither is complete. Hell I haven’t completed the game yet, I got too involved doing these Excel files.
Having said that, if anyone can supply a complete walkthrough or even a continuation of one of the walkthroughs I would much appreciate it (luthius: hint, hint, wink, wink-[sorry, I just had to do that]).
