Secret room filled with blood where you cannot escape

Just before the entrance of the stairs where you ultimately get Yux shield are two gates which lead you to crazy worlds. The left gate takes you to a carnival where you can sacrifice Magdalena with dialogues with pinhead.

In the right gate you enter a place where you can walk anywhere mostly. I walked right up towards the left side of the castle and was transported to a secret room filled with blood. No treasures nothing and I cannot escape the place. Anyone else been here before?

Edit. It wasn't the left side, but the topmost stairs.

Yep, the only point in going there is to experience that weird trip, as I sure haven't found any items. If you do, then in the giant pond of blood/lava/"strawberry juice"(as Guanidia suggests)/whatever it is, the exit is in the northwestern section, between the sections of mesh ceiling. After that, you will be walking around in space for a few seconds, and then you will be transported back to the "graveyard" section.
